Job description

SUMMARY

We are seeking a results-driven National Accounts Sales Representative to develop and expand strategic relationships with national and regional customers across multiple industries. This high-impact role is responsible for driving growth through the sale of packaging materials, packaging automation, and value-added contract services, including kitting, co-packing, fulfillment, and supply chain solutions. This field-based position offers hybrid flexibility with a primary focus on Texas markets, including Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Grand Prairie, and Austin, while supporting national accounts throughout the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting national and regional accounts across food and beverage, health and beauty, wellness, pet food, e-commerce, consumer products, and industrial markets.
  • Prospect and generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, trade shows, and digital outreach.
  • Sell integrated packaging solutions, including corrugated packaging, flexible packaging, stretch and shrink films, protective packaging, and specialty products, along with value-added kitting, co-packing, fulfillment, and packaging automation services.
  • Identify opportunities to bundle products and services to create customized supply chain solutions that deliver measurable value and ROI to customers.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of national and regional accounts through strategic account planning, regular customer engagement, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers including Vice Presidents of Supply Chain, Procurement Directors, Operations Managers, Packaging Engineers, and Plant Leadership teams.
  • Expand account penetration by identifying cross-selling opportunities and increasing share of wallet across existing customers.
  • Conduct discovery meetings and facility walkthroughs to understand production processes, packaging requirements, and operational challenges.
  • Develop and present customized packaging recommendations based on product characteristics, distribution channels, sustainability objectives, and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal operations, procurement, customer service, and fulfillment teams to scope, quote, and execute customer programs.
  • Prepare and deliver professional proposals, presentations, RFQ responses, and business reviews to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Support customers with retail and club store packaging requirements, including programs supporting Costco, Sam's Club, BJ's, Target, and Walmart.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity, account information, forecasting, and customer interactions within the CRM system.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings, forecasting reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory and nationally as needed for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful B2B sales experience within packaging distribution, packaging manufacturing, contract packaging, or co-packing services.
  • Demonstrated success selling both products and value-added services to operations, supply chain, and procurement leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of corrugated packaging, flexible packaging, stretch and shrink films, protective packaging, and specialty packaging materials.
  • Proven ability to develop new business, build pipelines, and consistently close profitable opportunities.
  • Experience with consultative, solution-based selling and the ability to develop business cases and present ROI-driven solutions.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms, along with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
