Job description

Scheduler

BAE Systems is seeking a Scheduler to support a diverse and complex Enterprise Integrated Master Schedule (EIMS) and program management functions. Interact directly with the customer and BAE Systems senior managers, support across the spectrum of program acquisition, sustainment, integration, scheduling baseline control, analysis, and reporting. Track and assess program status, technical performance, contract performance, schedule, and risk. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintain multiple project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 software.
  • Gather monthly progress updates from various groups and integrate them into the project master schedule.
  • Manage the import of contractor schedules into the Primavera enterprise structure and Sentinel IMS.
  • Analyze government and contractor schedules (duration, constraints, relationships) to highlight variances and risks.
  • Draft reports summarizing schedule impacts, logic changes, and delays.
  • Contribute to Schedule Risk Assessments and build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external customers.
  • Interface with IMS stakeholders and government counterparts to ensure compliance with mission objectives and scheduling best practices.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Minimum 7 years of experience; 5 years w/ MS
  • Foundational knowledge of project scheduling principles and exposure to tools such as Oracle Primavera P6 or similar software.
  • Familiarity with schedule quality concepts, including risk analysis or industry-standard assessments (e.g., DCMA 14-point check).
  • Basic understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and the relationship between project cost and schedule.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Understanding of Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and implementation into an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Understanding of DoD/DOE acquisition and program management process
  • Innovator with continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience in lean management, CMMI and root cause analysis
  • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) training/equivalent experience
  • Secret Security Clearance

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $88189 - $149922 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
