Job description

This position will serve as the Franchise Legal Services paralegal responsible for FTC regulatory agency compliance and management of business development committee administration related to domestic development.
RESPONSILITIES
  • Support internal domestic franchise legal regulatory compliance processes with respect to data gathering and information tracking (including the domestic FDD yearly Renewal, amendments, exemption filings, etc.). Coordinate with internal business teams, outside counsel and state administration, as necessary
  • Draft and manage miscellaneous domestic franchise default notices, termination notices as well as amendments, addenda, and agreements regarding termination/lending/impact concerns
  • Management of internal/external requests for third party ancillary franchise-related information and documents such as securitization audits, lender documentation, and SBA Items
  • Manage and maintain all filing aspects for all franchise legal files
  • Support legal team oversight and involvement in business development compliance process in accordance with all relevant governing materials
  • Special projects related to domestic franchise regulatory compliance and use of historic forms of franchise agreements as well as preparation of unique agreement/amendment/notice drafts pertaining to the franchise legal support function as assigned by Senior Counsel - Franchise and Vice President - Franchise Counsel

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Legal Assistant Education or paralegal certification/experience, Notary Public

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required Minimum: 2-4 years' work experience in legal paralegal or equivalent legal administrative position
  • Preferred Minimum: 5+ years' work experience in legal paralegal or equivalent legal administrative position; preference for work experience in franchise -related regulatory matters, securities regulatory support matters, or mergers and acquisitions/corporate legal transactional support

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively with time management skills
  • Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills
  • Well-organized and a self-starter
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including AI drafting software and tools, database management, FRM and Oracle
  • Knowledge of legal contract administration and transactional documentation drafting experience
  • Preference for those with knowledge of FTC or similar regulatory compliance processes
