Job description

Title: Network Engineer
Location: Tampa Florida
Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Summary:

A rapidly growing healthcare organization is expanding its clinic and site footprint across Florida and scaling the underlying network to support that growth. We are seeking a senior-level, Cisco-centric Network Engineer to define a standard “clinic network model” and then replicate that blueprint as new locations come online.

What you’ll do:

  • Hhands-on engineering across multiple network initiatives (roughly engineering 70% / architecture 30%).

  • Perform deep network discovery to understand the current-state environment, identify gaps and nonstandard “band-aid” fixes, and drive standardization across clinics, campus, and data centers.

  • Design repeatable network patterns for clinics/sites and execute the implementation/configuration work to deploy them as new sites open.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues and support upgrades/refresh work across campus, hospital, and data center environments.

  • Build, maintain, and update accurate network diagrams and documentation.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve coordination, guide technical decisions, and provide professional pushback when proposed approaches aren’t the right solution.

  • Communicate recommendations to senior leadership in clear language.

Required qualifications

  • Active CCNPcertification (must be current/active).

  • 7+ years of overall networking experience including an engineering-heavy background

  • Deep Cisco networking expertise in a Cisco-standard environment.

  • Experience with Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) and enterprise Wi-Fi is a PLUS

  • Experience spanning both on-prem and cloud networking resources.

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
