Job description

Amentum is seeking a Security Monitor located in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The primary duty is to observe and report security and emergency situations. The Security Monitor Intervenes directly only in situations which require minimal action to safeguard property or persons. Duties require minimal training and physical fitness standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Observe and report
  • Standing/walking for prolonged periods
  • Escorting uncleared personnel
  • Able to stand for 8-12 hours per day.
  • Able to walk on uneven surfaces and safely navigate an active construction site that may contain debris and other trip hazards on the ground.
  • Must be able to climb 5 flights of stairs multiple times within an 8-12-hour work shift.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds / 10 Kilograms.
  • Must be able to make logical, mentally competent, and safe decisions when working on a construction site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must have government issued clearance at time of application.
  • Ability to stand, walk for long periods, climb stairs, and lift heavy equipment.
  • Exceptional observation, strong conflict resolution skills, and clear communication under pressure.
