Job description

Position: On site contract Manufacturing Engineer - Equipment Development

Location: San Francisco, CA.

Hourly Rate: 55.00-75.00 Depending on experience

As a Manufacturing Engineer, Equipment Development, your responsibility is to work with manufacturing team to prepare readiness of process and tooling for high volume production. This will be a hands-on position to support process design, tooling development and validation, process capability and throughput improvements. There will be collaboration work with design engineers to ensure new designs meet design for manufacturability goals, which may require implement of design changes for sustaining products, resolve technical issues from manufacturing process, and perform failure analysis to seek for optimum solutions in production.

โ€ขWork with tooling vender to develop equipment for high-volume manufacturing

โ€ขImprove equipment efficiency for high volume sustainability

โ€ขThis position will require international travel


Basic Qualifications

โ€ขBachelorโ€™s degree in engineering or related field (Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics)

โ€ขMin 5 -10 yearsโ€™ experience in electronics manufacturing equipment development.

โ€ขExperience in developing high precision equipment and automation tools development

โ€ขExperience in tooling and equipment design using SOLIDWORK

โ€ขExperience in equipment project management

โ€ขExperience in smart maintenance systems


Preferred Qualifications

โ€ขExperience in Micro-Electronic Manufacturing, Optical Assembly, Testers Development, tooling and Automation development is preferable.
