As a(n) Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading assigned and self-directed improvements for Safety, Quality, Service and Cost related to assigned products and processes.
  • Implementing high impact projects that relate to our customer and site's needs.
  • Support of a high impact technical chemical operation.
  • Willingness to be provide support, as needed, during off-shift and weekend hours.
  • Initiates and completes technical activities leading to new or improved products and processes which have significant impact potential.
  • Suggest changes and future direction of assigned products and processes.
  • Major stakeholder in assigned product and process project planning.
  • Establish a network of support for assigned products and processes (lab, quality, manufacturing operations, etc..) to facilitate completion of assignments.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
  • One (1) year of engineering experience in a chemical operations environment in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Three (3) years of engineering experience in a chemical operations environment.
  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university.
  • Excellent mechanical, chemical and/or electrical aptitude and problem-solving skills; practical and hands-on, with analytical comprehension and data driven decision making
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Analysis Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Control Plans
  • Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams from multiple locations and divisions
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and change
  • Ability to communicate and function effectively with production through senior leadership teams
  • Operate with a One Winning Team mindset
  • Effectively implement continuous improvement efforts with a sense of urgency

Work location:

  • Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, at the 3M Quapaw, Oklahoma facility.

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation: May be authorized
