We are currently seeking a Contract Manager for our client in Chantilly, VA.

Impact Description
We are actively seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to manage all aspects of its Contracts function. The successful candidate will have day-to-day responsibility for all contract actions, support all contract negotiations, build trusted relationships with government counterparts and internal stakeholders, maintain high-levels of service quality, and ensure alignment with the company's long and short-term performance objectives. This person will be highly self-confident and display the humility to accept input and ideas from key internal stakeholders that enable a Better Future for the organization, its customers, and its partners.
Qualifications
Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead contract negotiations with government entities
  • Lead NDA, teaming agreement, and subcontract negotiations with partners
  • Conduct contract reviews and risk assessments to ensure compliance
  • Draft contract language and changes for and during negotiations
  • Monitor and report funding and period of performance risk for all contracts
  • Work closely with business developers and operational leaders to ensure communication with appropriate counterparts during contract monitoring and negotiations
  • Assist internal stakeholders in developing negotiation and risk mitigation strategies as part of proposal preparation
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed of relevant contract changes and required actions (e.g., funding, period of performance, delivery requirements, and other non-administrative changes)
  • Provide regular and timely status regarding contract activity and potential risk

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in business, or similar field, from an accredited University
  • Certification in Contracts Management (CPCM)

Minimum Experience Required
  • 10 years' experience performing contract management functions, with at least 5 years' experience as the departmental lead
  • Government contracts experience, specifically in IT professional services
  • Thorough understanding of FAR/DFAR, and
  • Experience across all contract types and vehicles
