Job description

Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob Description

This position involves working on the 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with training provided on the 1st shift. The role requires adherence to all plant and safety rules, good manufacturing practices, and the use of personal protective equipment at all times. The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all plant and safety rules, good manufacturing practices, and wear personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Perform general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and perform repairs.
  • Conduct electrical, plumbing, and painting tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, compressors, boilers, and other ancillary equipment.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and production employees to troubleshoot problems.
  • Research, select, and order necessary parts and supplies.
  • Work varying shifts, including weekends and possible emergency situations.
  • Perform all other work as deemed appropriate by management.
Essential Skills
  • General knowledge and troubleshooting skills for belts, drives, sheaves, chains, and other power transmission systems.
  • Knowledge of safety practices within the maintenance field.
  • Mechanical, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, hydraulics, and facilities maintenance skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • The ability to stand, walk, kneel on hard surfaces, and use hands/fingers to handle equipment.
  • Effective communication skills with other personnel on the production floor.
  • The ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
