What this job involves
JLL is looking for a person with a passion for delivering a high level of customer service in a Warehouse/Distribution Center/Office Building. This person must have strong communication skills and a solid background in building maintenance.

What is the day to day?

  • Able to identify and resolve general maintenance issues.
  • Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
  • Work with the team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
  • General interior maintenance - hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems.
  • Minor plumbing repairs
  • Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to; painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
  • Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
  • Respond effectively to all emergencies 24/7.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.

Required:

  • 3+ years of applicable working experience in general building repair & maintenance, basic plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical skills are preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with a CMMS are needed.
  • Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 28 ft., possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Must be a problem solver and be able to come up with creative solutions for general building needs.

Shift:

  • Monday - Friday; 7 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Overtime or working off-hours as needed.

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
