Logistics Analyst (Contract) Location: Houston, TX 77056 (Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Schedule: Flexible (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM; must align with team schedule; no consecutive remote days) Pay Rate: $22-$25/hour Duration: Long-term contract with potential for conversion in 2027 Position Overview LHH is seeking a Logistics Analyst (Contract) for a long-term opportunity with a growing team. This is a junior-level role ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in supply chain or logistics who are eager to learn and grow. This position supports daily transportation planning and analysis, focusing on LTL and full truckload shipments, while identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate daily LTL and full truckload shipments
  • Arrange carrier services based on routing requirements
  • Analyze transportation methods and recommend cost-effective solutions
  • Provide freight analysis and support decision-making across transportation modes
  • Audit and approve transportation invoices for accuracy and contract compliance
  • Investigate and resolve shipment and service issues
  • Develop and publish monthly key performance metrics
  • Maintain and update vendor records, including current and historical data
  • Assist with carrier claims and issue resolution
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities through data analysis and industry research
  • Partner with internal teams and operations to support logistics execution
Qualifications
