Diligent Delivery Systems is seeking a Sales Account Executive for our Houston Market.  The ideal candidate has sales experience, preferably in Delivery, Parcel, LTL, Pool Distribution, and/or Retail Logistics.  Great opportunity for a sales professional looking to grow experience in Transportation and Logistics with the opportunity for unlimited growth and income potential.  Base salary with aggressive bonus and commission structure.  If you are passionate about your sales career and are seeking an opportunity where you can grow and thrive, we invite you to apply.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The below listed duties are not all inclusive.  This position must also perform other duties as assigned.):

·         Pursue and manage business in an assigned territory, possibly nationally

·         Develop a database of qualified leads through prospecting decision makers using telemarketing, cold calls, face to face meetings,                   networking, social media email marketing, and referrals

·         Gain a clear understanding of customers’ business and service requirements for operations to support customers and meet                             expectations

·         Make accurate rapid cost calculations and provide prospects with proposals for service

·         Strengthen relations with existing customers as well as build new relationships with potential customers

·         Prepare and send quotations and other literature to prospective clients

·         Produce agreements including all supporting documentation

·         Negotiate pricing and service aspects to CLOSE new business

·         Follow up and follow through with each prospect

·         Conduct marketing campaigns in assigned territory with the help of the corporate office through direct mail marketing, email                             campaigns, and self-marketing

·         Maintain accurate records of sales activity utilizing the Company’s CRM program

·         Maintain excellent communication and customer relations with all customers within the assigned territory

·         Submit weekly activity reports to Sales Management Team

·         Delivery, Parcel, LTL, Pool Distribution, Retail Logistics experience preferred.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

·         Bachelor’s Degree

·         Aggressive hunter mentality

·         Strong sales and prospecting skills

·         Ability to build rapport, ask questions and listen

·         Excellent negotiation skills to close new business

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills

·         Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·         Ability to operate in a fast-paced and changing environment

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
