What is contract logging?

Contract logging is a forestry service where a contractor is hired to harvest, transport, and sometimes process timber on behalf of a landowner or timber company. The contractor provides the labor, equipment, and expertise necessary to safely and efficiently remove trees from a specified area according to the terms of a contract.
