About the Job

The IT Support Specialist is a critical, hands-on role responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure and providing direct technical support to our team members at our Brookfield, MA location. This position is a blend of traditional desktop support, system analysis, and crucial operational involvement, including assisting with specialized, high-stakes tasks like building pumps for aircraft components. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience and be dedicated to technical excellence, security, and supporting our digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities Include (2+ Years Experience Required)
  • Provide comprehensive Tier 1/Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for internal team members regarding hardware, software, network connectivity, and application issues.
  • Analyze business requirements and evaluate systems (software and hardware) to ensure they meet operational needs and are optimized for performance.
  • Conduct data analysis to support system optimization and efficiency initiatives.
  • Assist with system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes across the IT environment.
  • Support initiatives related to the company's Digital Transformation roadmap.
  • Document IT processes, procedures, and create comprehensive user guides.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional IT teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve complex issues and implement solutions.
  • Assist with IT security monitoring and incident response activities.
  • Support internal and external audits and compliance efforts, ensuring systems adhere to all relevant regulations.
  • Prior experience in a Department of Defense (DOD) or similar regulated manufacturing environment is a strong plus.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: 2+ years of direct experience in an IT Support, Desktop Support, or Help Desk role.
  • Certification: MUST have an A+ Certification.
  • Proven technical proficiency in troubleshooting operating systems (Windows/Linux), network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and MS Office/365 environments.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide clear, patient, and effective support to non-technical users.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to hardware installation, cable management, and potentially assisting in the operational environment (e.g., building specialized equipment).
Compensation and Benefits

Pay Rate: The expected hourly wage is $25-$29/hr. Pay will be offered based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ONSITE.
