INDEPENDENT SALES REPRESENTATIVE - SCHOLASTIC

Jostens Independent Sales Representatives are responsible for growing their businesses through customer development within their territories. Activities include signing new business, developing prospects, gaining market share, and increasing sales of Jostens products. Independent Sales Representatives will lead relationships and work effectively with school administrations, organizations and their advisors, teachers, students, and coaches. They will represent the Jostens brand and shared values of accountability to customers, unwavering integrity, responsibility and respect for those we serve.

Successful Independent Sales Representatives will demonstrate the following strengths (individually or through employees of an incorporated sales representative):
  • Relevant and proven sales and/or sales management experience (consultative, educational, B2C)
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated success developing new business and maintaining customer relationships through great customer focus
  • Highly disciplined and self-motivated
  • Demonstrated personal accountability for your own success and development
  • Regional/territory and national travel required (percentage varies dependent on territory location and demographics)

Independent Sales Representatives are required to successfully operate their own businesses, including but not limited to the following requirements:
  • Creating and maintaining an independent business office
  • Hiring, retaining, and compensating an office and sales staff as needed
  • Complying with all applicable laws associated with the services performed for Jostens
  • Responsibility for all business expenses, including but not limited to travel to facilitate sale
  • Full terms and conditions of the Independent Sales Representative relationship will be set forth in a contract between Jostens and the representative
