Job description

About Hunter Strategy
Hunter Strategy has a unique philosophy to technical project delivery. We treat all our customers like mission partners because they rely on our team to meet their objectives through complex software engineering, cloud operations, and cyber risk management solutions. Hunter Strategy was founded on the premise that IT is 21st century infrastructure - critically important but only instrumentally valuable. Accordingly, our teams look at problems with a single objective: the identification and enablement of the right capability to address the most vexing problems our Mission Partners face. We continue to support our partners' success by leveraging the right technology, with the right plan, and the right team to address tomorrow's challenges today.
SAFe Agilist Management Analyst
Salary Range: $130,000 - $155,000 annually
About the Role
Hunter Strategy is seeking a SAFe Agilist Management Analyst to support a new, greenfield mission with a large federal civilian agency. The centerpiece of this role is SAFe governance establishment. You assist with the creation of a tailored Scaled Agile Framework for the program and help stand up the governance that holds it together. You determine the best way to implement and communicate that governance to stakeholders, and you build the education plan and strategy that brings development teams up to speed once it is established. You work with a team of Agile practitioners and architects, and what you help establish becomes the operating model the entire program runs on.
What You Will Do
  • Assist with the creation of a tailored SAFe framework, including analyzing the organization to recommend the configuration that fits it
  • Determine the best approach for implementing the framework and communicating it to program stakeholders at every level
  • Build the education plan and strategy that brings development teams up to speed on the SAFe governance established for the program
  • Work with the UX Designer to build out the stakeholder education plan and strategy
  • Develop and deliver training, workshops, and coaching materials that make the framework practical for the teams using it
  • Support change management as new development teams onboard into the established cadence
  • Work with a team of Agile practitioners and architects to mature the framework over time

What You Bring
  • 8+ years of Agile delivery or transformation experience
  • 5+ years working in a SAFe environment
  • 3+ years coaching or training teams in Agile or SAFe practices
  • Experience helping an organization adopt SAFe, not just operating within an established implementation
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate framework concepts into plain language for mixed audiences
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination

Preferred
  • Certified SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC); Certified SAFe Agilist (SA) considered
  • Experience supporting federal civilian or defense programs, particularly multi-contractor environments
  • Change management training or certification (for example, Prosci) is a plus
  • Experience standing up or operating a Lean-Agile Center of Excellence is a plus
