Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is required.

• 24 months of Trauma Level 2 facility is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Required Skills/Experience: - Level 1 or 2 trauma experience with a 250+ bed facility required. - Experience titrating vasopressor drips required.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Must disclose previous employment with Sanford Health, Good Samaritan Society, or Marshfield Clinic Health System within the submission for a DNU check. - Previous Sanford employment must have ended at least 6 months before submission. Must take a full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well.

Unit Details: - Management of 1-3 critically ill patients, including critically ill neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical patients. - Must be able to manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips. - Assists with bedside procedures including RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, line placement, and other diagnostic tests. - Uses Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinet, Aleris IV pumps, MOOG feeding pumps, IABP, EVD, Phillips Patient Monitoring Systems, AvaSure patient monitoring, and Impella. - Nurse to patient ratio on this unit is 1:2. - Employee will not work alone.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend and every other holiday. - No call required.

Floating Requirements: - Travelers in this role will call in each day prior to their shift to find out where they will be working. - Floating to all critical care departments in Sanford Fargo including 5AB, Intermediate ICU with ratios up to 4:1, and Broadway ICU with ratios up to 3:1. - May float to med surg units as needed to task or take patient assignment of up to 3.
