Your work directly impacts how developers learn, adopt, and innovate within one of the most iconic gaming ecosystems in the world.
Top Required Skills (Must Haves):
  1. Experience building game content such as mods, add-ons, or custom gameplay scenarios, ideally within Minecraft or similar moddable platforms.
  2. Strong scripting skills using TypeScript or JavaScript, including working with APIs and gameplay systems.
  3. Hands-on experience with JSON definitions (entities, items, behaviors) and content packaging (behavior/resource packs).
  4. Ability to design and develop polished, playable sample experiences with clear documentation and usability.

Opportunity Overview:
This is a unique opportunity to build real gameplay experiences that will be used by a global community of creators. You'll be among the first to work with new platform features, translating them into intuitive, high-quality sample content that teaches and inspires. How you will make an impact:
• Develop sample worlds, mini-games, and add-ons that demonstrate new platform features
• Create and maintain code samples using TypeScript, JSON, and scripting APIs
• Test and validate content against new platform builds, ensuring compatibility and quality
• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to understand upcoming features and shape sample content
• Package and publish sample projects with clear documentation and setup instructions
• Identify bugs and provide feedback based on hands-on development with pre-release features
• Contribute to tutorials, walkthroughs, or reference materials for creators
The expertise you bring:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field
• 2-4 years of experience in software or gameplay development
• Experience building mods, add-ons, or custom content for games
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages
• Experience working in agile development environments
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
• Ability to design, build, and ship end-to-end technical projects
What makes a candidate highly successful in this role:
