Job description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled QA Engineer to join our QA team. In this role, you will focus on automating testing processes while collaborating closely with various engineering teams to enhance the quality of our gaming platform. You will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of automated testing strategies, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality.

You Will

  • Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for new and existing features using Python, Lua, and C++.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Define and implement required test services and components for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Testing Tools: Utilize tools like TestRail for test case management, Jira for bug tracking, Confluence for documentation, and Figma for QA workflows.
  • Test Planning: Create and maintain quality test plans and test cases, ensuring thorough coverage across multiple gaming platforms (PC/Mac, iOS/Android, consoles, VR).
  • Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams (Avatar, Audio, Video, etc.) to provide specialized QA support and drive QA initiatives from planning through to final release.
  • Coordination: Work with internal QA teams and offshore members to coordinate testing efforts and streamline communication.
  • Identify Automation Opportunities: Recognize areas for automation within manual test cases and convert them into efficient automated tests.
  • Documentation: Review and create comprehensive documentation for test cases, results, and automation frameworks.

You Have

  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on QA engineering experience, specifically in writing test plans, test suites, and test cases within the gaming industry.
  • Coding Skills: Experience with Python (or equivalent) is required and understanding of Lua is a plus.
  • Automation Frameworks: Experience with automation frameworks and a desire to grow in this area.
  • Automation Focus: A strong emphasis on automation (60-70% of responsibilities) with a desire to advance automation skills.
  • Passion for Gaming: A deep interest in gaming and game development, with a solid understanding of gaming platforms.
  • Game Engines: Experience with game engines such as Unity, Unreal or Roblox Studio is required.
  • Team Coordination: Proven experience working with offshore QA teams, enhancing collaboration and communication.

You Are

  • Roblox Development: Familiar with Roblox development processes is a plus.
