Job description

Percussion Caption Head- Front Ensemble/Audio Instructor: 

Seeking individual with a strong background in music, and the marching arts with excellent skills in performance, audio/mics and writing and arranging music. Experience in audio recordings, programming and audio set up preferred. Percussion Caption Head/Front instructor will work closely with the Director of Bands to arrange music for half-time shows, coordinate preparations like warm-up packets, exercises, and activities that align with the ensemble.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Job requires a music undergraduate degree, prior knowledge and experience in working with students in marching band. Must be a percussionist with writing and arranging skills. Must attend band camp, all rehearsals, games, and other events per Director. Individual should be a strong leader in music, and the marching arts with excellent skills in performance, audio/mics and writing and arranging music. Must have extensive experience in the marching arts (DCI, WGI, college marching band). Experience in audio recordings, programming and audio set up is required. Skills in mallets, keyboards/synths, audio and auxiliary percussion preferred. Requires knowledge in audio hook up, soundboard management and electronic maintenance.

Will be arranging front and battery for halftime and stand tunes as needed. Assigned arrangements will need to be completed before band camp. Music will be sent out early to all students to prepare for camp. You will be asked to write arrangements outside of rehearsal times.

Required Experience:

Must have DCI, WGI or collegiate front ensemble experience
