RNFA – Cardiac OR | Rochester, NY
 

We are seeking an experienced RN First Assistant (RNFA) – Cardiac Operating Room for an exciting contract opportunity in Rochester, New York. Join a highly specialized cardiac surgical team and work alongside skilled surgeons in a fast-paced, advanced surgical environment.
 

Assignment Details:

  • Start Date: 07/20
  • Schedule: Primarily weekdays
  • Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
  • On-call responsibilities required based on unit needs
  • Contract opportunity

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Cardiac RNFA experience
  • Active New York State RN License
  • Current AHA BLS Certification
  • Current AHA ACLS Certification
  • Current CNOR Certification
  • Telemetry experience required

Responsibilities

  • Function as RN First Assistant during complex cardiac surgical procedures
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff
  • Assist with patient positioning, tissue handling, exposure, hemostasis, and wound closure
  • Provide safe, high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative continuum
  • Participate in call coverage as assigned
