Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced Epic Inpatient ClinDoc Analyst to support the design, configuration, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Epic Clinical Documentation (ClinDoc) for inpatient nursing workflows. The ideal candidate will work closely with nursing leadership, clinical informatics, operational stakeholders, and IT teams to enhance clinical documentation processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve patient care through effective Epic system configuration and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Epic ClinDoc workflows, including flowsheets, assessments, care plans, nursing documentation, patient education, worklists, and navigators.
  • Support inpatient nursing workflows across Medical/Surgical, Long-Term Care (LTC), and Rehabilitation units.
  • Gather business and clinical requirements and translate them into Epic system configuration and workflow improvements.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions with cross-functional Epic application teams.
  • Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations, including build, testing, validation, and go-live activities.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and regression test plans to ensure application stability and functionality.
  • Collaborate with Epic teams including Orders, ASAP, Willow, Beacon, Radiant, Security, Reporting, and Identity to support integrated workflows.
  • Maintain system documentation, build records, testing evidence, and change management documentation.
  • Provide end-user support, workflow optimization, training materials, and post-implementation assistance.
  • Ensure clinical documentation aligns with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and patient safety initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Epic ClinDoc Certification (Required).
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Epic ClinDoc Analyst supporting inpatient clinical documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with Epic configuration, build, testing, optimization, and production support.
  • Strong knowledge of inpatient nursing workflows, including Med/Surg, Long-Term Care, and Rehabilitation.
  • Experience supporting Epic upgrades, enhancements, and full project lifecycle implementations.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional Epic certifications such as ASAP, Orders, Rehabilitation, or Long-Term Care (LTC).
  • Experience with Epic implementations and go-live support.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards, clinical documentation requirements, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with clinical informatics, nursing leadership, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
