Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is hiring a Subcontract Technical Engineer (level 2) / Principal Subcontract Technical Engineer (level 3) to join its team in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel Program.

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What you will get to do:

The Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team is seeking a highly motivated and qualified system engineer to serve as a Subcontract Technical Engineer, Level 2 or Level 3. You will critically analyze supply chain solutions that meet all program requirements and manage supply chain risks to ensure positive supplier performance through all phases of the program life cycle from capture to sustainment. You will be the main focal point to the Subcontractor Management team and accountable to the MDT SSE leadership and Technical Lead.

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Track and monitor supplier deliverables

  • Work with Data Management and SMT to resolve / track supplier deliverables

  • Coordinate assignment of SDRL review with SSE team

  • Assign and track progress of review

  • Ensure timely response to supplier deliverables

  • Data entry of comments into K2 or Enovia

  • Support Subcontract Technical Engineers to evaluate and resolve contract requirement discrepancies

  • Manages the delivery of Subcontract data packages to ensure relevant contract requirements are met or exceeded

  • Participate with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures

  • Review Statement of Work (SOW) and identify SDRLs on contract and resolve discrepancies by CRMs

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either the Systems Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03).

Required for Both Levels:

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years

  • Must have a current or ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) approvalwithin a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

Systems Engineer (T-02):

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience

  • Minimum 1 year of applying and understanding Systems Security Engineering principles

  • Minimum 1 year in showing the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings

  • Minimum 1 year of contracting, acquisitions, supply chain, and/or procurement experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience performing against schedule.

Principal Systems Engineer (T-03):

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 year of related experience; Master's degree in STEM with 3 years of Experience; or PhD with 1 year of experience

  • Minimum 3 years of applying systems engineering principles

  • Minimum 3 years in showing strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including contracts, engineering, quality, and operations teams

  • Minimum 3 years demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively with major subcontractors and their sub-tier suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SAP Access

  • Direct experience with Department of Defense contracting, acquisitions, supply chain, or procurement

  • Direct experience Program Protection and/or Supply Chain Risk Management

  • Direct experience with ICBM Systems

  • Proven experience interfacing with subcontractor management teams, ensuring alignment with both system security engineering and supply chain leadership directives

  • Experience in evaluating suppliers' key system security and supply chain risk management practices, and performing supplier assessments and monitoring quality and reliability

  • A solid understanding of Program Protection applicable to US Government Defense Programs and applied knowledge in the application of SSE principles across a broad spectrum of security measures (Cybersecurity, Counterfeit Awareness, Anti-Tamper, HW/SW Assurance, OPSEC, etc.) to protect critical program information (CPI)

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
