The Role:
As the Engineering Administrator, you will join our Design Engineering team and be responsible for administration of the Engineering Change Process. Performs any combination of clerical duties requiring general knowledge and application of various work methods and procedures that may be complex.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Administers the Engineering Change Process. Including managing EC's through receipt, data input, distribution, follow-up, approvals, implementation, and release.
  • Works with Engineering Change Coordinators at the other facilities to manage multi-plant EC's.
    Maintains engineering records and understands the engineering record retention policy. Responsible for document scanning, archiving, and retrieval.
  • Maintains database files for document archival and retrieval.
  • Assists Engineering with projects supporting product data.
  • Document control coordinator responsible for locating, scanning and distributing required documents. Understands document distribution policies and limitations.
  • Locates and attaches appropriate file to correspondence to be answered by manager/engineer.
  • Assists manager in some administrative details and projects.
  • Charts engineering metrics, based on statistics compiled, for reference by Engineering Management.
  • Assists in the maintenance/support of the Engineering Library.
  • Assists Engineering Managers with processes and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned through identified and established process improvements.
  • May be required to cross train and demonstrate competency on all essential job functions of the department.
  • Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area free of excess materials.
  • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software. Personal Computer and word processor skills including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and JDE.
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofreading materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to work on-site in Ogden, UT five days a week.
