Description:

We are seeking a skilled Field Services / Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support for enterprise users. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in desktop support, endpoint management, software deployment, and desktop patching. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of hardware, operating systems, applications, and endpoint configurations while ensuring a secure and reliable desktop environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced onsite desktop support by diagnosing and resolving hardware and operating system incidents.
  • Troubleshoot software issues, configuration conflicts, and workstation problems using remote and enterprise support tools.
  • Implement standardized desktop images and configuration baselines to ensure consistent performance and security.
  • Administer endpoint management platforms to deploy software packages, patches, and configuration updates.
  • Perform desktop patching and ensure endpoints remain current with required updates.
  • Monitor desktop environment health through centralized dashboards and logs.
  • Identify incident trends and recommend preventive improvements.
  • Collaborate with service desk teams to handle escalations and provide technical guidance.
  • Document desktop procedures, knowledge articles, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring desktop issues and recommend sustainable solutions.
  • Coordinate with network and application teams to resolve endpoint connectivity and application issues.
  • Perform asset management activities, including workstation lifecycle tracking, hardware validation, and software license verification.
  • Apply endpoint security controls and assist with vulnerability remediation and compliance activities.
  • Provide in-person support and manage walk-up requests in an onsite environment.
  • Evaluate desktop tools, automation opportunities, and processes to improve support efficiency.

Required Skills:

  • Strong Desktop Support experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Endpoint Management Platforms for software deployment, patch management, inventory, and policy enforcement.
  • Strong Desktop Patching experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows workstation operating systems.
  • Experience with hardware, software, application, and operating system troubleshooting.
  • Experience with endpoint configuration and user profile management.
