Duration: Contract-to-Hire (C2H)

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team in Northbrook, IL. This role is 100% onsite and is a contract-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL, demonstrated project experience, and the ability to communicate complex technical information with clarity and ease.
This position requires hands-on experience with data analysis, reporting, and working with relational databases. We are specifically looking for candidates who can rticulate their project work confidently without preparation, particularly regarding SQL queries and real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data
  • Build dashboards and reports to support business decisions
  • Interpret data trends and patterns to deliver actionable insights
  • Participate in data cleansing and validation activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, business, and data science
Must-Have Qualifications:
  • Strong SQL skills, including experience with:
    • Joins (inner, left, right, full)
    • Group By and Having clauses
    • Pattern matching using LIKE
  • 3+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role
  • Strong communication skills - must be able to clearly explain current or recent project work and answer SQL questions on the spot
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
