Contract Psychiatrist โ€“ State Correctional Facility (Delano, CA)

Step into a correctional psychiatry role in Delano, CAโ€”providing outpatient-level care part time in a state correctional setting with earning potential over $695k/year at full time.

Job Highlights

โ— Title: Contract Psychiatrist (Outpatient Forensic / Correctional)

โ— Location: Adult menโ€™s state correctional facility โ€“ Delano, CA

โ— Contract Type: 6โ€“12 month relief contract (ASAP start)

โ— Schedule: In-person, any two days Mon-Fri, 7 a.m.โ€“5 p.m. (2x10s) for at least 6 months

โ— Earning Potential: $300-695k/year depending on part time or full-time status

โ— Setting: Adult menโ€™s outpatient-level psychiatric care in a forensic / correctional environment

Top qualifications:

โ— MD or DO required; Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatry.

โ— Active California medical license and active California DEA.

โ— At least 12 months of adult psychiatry experience in the last 3 years (inpatient or high-acuity preferred).

โ— BLS certification and medical malpractice insurance required.

โ— Experience in correctional / forensic psychiatry and comfort with high-acuity, justice-involved patients.

โ— Familiarity with Cerner EHR.
