ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records.
  • Own and execute key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting entries.
  • Analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts and investigate variances.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting.
  • Ensure accounting transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and other accounting functions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, reporting, and efficiency.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to the staff accountant when appropriate.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with annual report filings.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.

QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment, required.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles required.
  • Demonstrated experience with month-end and year-end close processes required.
  • Strong general ledger, reconciliation, and financial reporting experience required.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial analysis required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
