What are the duties you ask? You will be monitoring patient movement, maintaining detailed logs, and ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures. You'll be the first point of contact for new patients, conducting intakes and orientations, as well as administering drug screenings and overseeing medication dispensing. Plus conducting random room checks and transporting residents as needed.
What do you need to know? You must have strong communication and organization skills. Must have the ability to pay sharp attention to detail for monitoring resident behavior, facility movement, and identify potential risks. The Monitor must have the ability to defuse tense situations and handle disputes calmly and effectively. Handling sensitive information with discretion and upholding a professional demeanor is a must.
Requirements
What do we require? Must have a High School diploma or GED and the ability to:
  • Pass a Department of Corrections Clean Background Check
  • Pass Drug Screen - Company paid
  • Get a PDD/TB Test - Company paid when possible.
  • Have valid driver's license with favorable driving record.
  • Obtain a CPR certification shortly after starting.

What are the work conditions?
  • Department of Corrections Center.
  • Afternoon and overnight shifts.
  • Required to remain awake and alert while on duty.
  • Stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods; may involve lifting as needed.
  • This position requires mandatory staffing coverage when necessary to provide a safe treatment environment for Gateway patients.
