Job description

Cullerton Group is hiring 10+ Controls Engineers for long-term W-2 contract opportunities supporting a leading automotive systems integrator delivering automation projects for General Motors across North America. Current projects extend through 2028, with additional GM programs expected to begin next year
Current Project Locations

  • Spring Hill, TN (Current – Nov. 2027)
  • Orion, MI (Current – Aug. 2027)
  • Flint, MI (Current – Mar. 2027)
  • Fairfax, KS (Sept. 2026 – Apr. 2027)
  • Oshawa, ON (Feb. 2027 – 2028)
  • Ramos Arizpe, MX (Mar. 2027 – Apr. 2028)


More GM projects expected in 2027.
Compensation & Benefits

  • $47/hour (USD)
  • Overtime paid at 1.3x
  • Double Time paid at 1.7x
  • All travel and lodging fully covered
  • $55/day per diem
  • Long-term assignments with the opportunity to support multiple GM launches
  • Visa sponsorship support available for qualified candidates

Minimum Qualifications

  • GCCS or GCCH Certification (Required)
  • Strong hands-on GM Body Shop / BIW / Welding Systems experience
  • Previous experience supporting GM manufacturing facilities
  • Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting (Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000)
  • FactoryTalk and/or Siemens TIA Portal
  • Launch, retrofit, commissioning, validation, or production support experience
  • Closure line experience including doors, hoods, liftgates, decklids, or tailgates


Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and support Allen-Bradley PLC-based automation systems
  • Commission and validate automation equipment
  • Support vehicle launches, retrofits, and production operations
  • Diagnose electrical and controls issues on the plant floor

• GCCS or GCCH certification
