Overview
Technicla Media Manager (DTRA PAO)
Bowhead is seeking a Technical Media Manager for the upcoming DTRA PAO contract in Fort Belvoir, VA. In this role, you will bridge production and distribution by maintaining the agency's Digital Asset Library, managing metadata compliance, and optimizing interactive multimedia interfaces to support DTRA's digital communication mission.
Responsibilities
  • Establish, build, and maintain a comprehensive Digital Asset Library, including video cataloging, B-roll management, and digital archiving systems
  • Oversee and validate metadata tagging, closed/open captioning, and search indexing prior to formal content ingestion
  • Implement and administer a standardized digital routing workflow, ensuring products move through required editorial, OPSEC, and PAO checkpoints
  • Implement and maintain analytics tracking, custom event triggers, and API integrations to monitor user engagement
  • Design and optimize intuitive, interactive multimedia interfaces across digital platforms
  • Ensure all interactive features comply with Section 508 accessibility standards and WCAG 2.1 guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Digital Media, Library Science, or related field
  • 5-10 years experience in digital media asset management or metadata governance
  • Strong proficiency with digital archiving systems and metadata tagging standards
  • Experience implementing workflow systems for content approval routing
  • Familiarity with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 compliance requirements
  • Ability to produce analytics reports and implement event-based user tracking
  • Understanding of OPSEC review and DoD public release protocols
  • Experience supporting multimedia-rich environments

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
Target salary is $120,000- $145,000 commensurate with experience
