Job Summary:
Cardinal Integrated Technologies Inc is seeking a Blue Yonder TMS Configuration Specialist responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Blue Yonder Transportation Management SaaS. This role involves translating business and operational requirements into system configurations to support logistics processes across global supply chains.
Responsibilities:
• Configure Blue Yonder TMS SaaS modules to support transportation planning, execution, freight settlement, and visibility.
• Configure core master data including: Locations, networks, lanes, and calendars
• Carriers, service levels, modes, and equipment profiles
• Rates, contracts, accessorials, and fuel surcharge structures
• Configure transportation policies, constraints, and optimization parameters to meet business rules.
• Translate business requirements into TMS configurations for: Inbound logistics
• Outbound logistics
• Intercompany and transfer movements
• Support shipment lifecycle processes including tendering, status updates, appointment scheduling, and exceptions.
• Configure workflows, alerts, event management, and user roles/permissions.
• Collaborate with integration teams to support data flows between Blue Yonder TMS and upstream/downstream systems (ERP, WMS, OMS, carrier systems).
• Validate configuration readiness for interfaces, APIs, and EDI transactions (e.g., shipment creation, tender responses, status updates, freight invoices).
• Support data mapping, configuration testing, and issue resolution related to integrations.
• Support unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), UAT, and regression testing from a configuration perspective.
• Resolve configuration related defects and lead configuration adjustments based on test outcomes.
• Support cutover activities, production readiness, and post go live stabilization.
• Analyze transportation performance and recommend configuration changes to improve cost, service, and compliance.
• Support enhancements, new carrier onboarding, and evolving business requirements.
• Ensure configuration changes follow governance, documentation, and change control processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10+ years of experience in Transportation Management systems, with 3+ years of hands on Blue Yonder TMS SaaS configuration experience.
• Strong hands on experience configuring Blue Yonder TMS foundation components and business rules.
• Deep understanding of shipment planning and optimization.
• Deep understanding of carrier tendering and execution workflows.
• Deep understanding of freight costing, rating, and settlement.
• Experience with multi modal transportation (road, air, ocean, courier).
• Strong understanding of transportation and logistics business processes.
• Experience working with SaaS configuration frameworks (no custom code).
• Familiarity with integration concepts (APIs, EDI, files) and data validation.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools for requirement, defect, and change tracking.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of cross functional delivery teams.
• Excellent communication skills with business, IT, and external partners.
• Structured, detail oriented, and disciplined with documentation.
Preferred:
• Experience supporting global or high volume transportation networks.
• Semiconductor, high tech manufacturing, or complex supply chain domain experience.
• Exposure to Agile / SAFe delivery models.
• Experience with carrier onboarding and transportation compliance processes.
