Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant - 13 Week Contract
Location: Mahnomen, MN

Big Stone Staffing travelers have the opportunity to work in multiple settings including long term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, inpatient, outpatient, and home health. We offer 13-week travel contracts and provide assistance to find housing, navigating licensure for each state, and being the liaison between you and the facility. Overview:
Setting: OP; LTC/SNF; HH
Guarantee: 36-hour weekly guarantee
Schedule: Flexible; Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm - No weekends, holidays or call
Length: 3-6 months+
Responsibilities:
Help patients stretch and exercise certain muscle groups
Read instructions from Physical Therapist
Work directly with Physical Therapist to assist patients
Speak with families to find best at-home techniques
Keep physical therapy clean and organized
Move patients from wheelchairs or walkers to physical therapy area
Teach patients techniques like balance training
Qualifications:
Graduation from an approved school of Physical Therapist Assistant
Valid state Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility for licensure
CPR Certification
Valid driver's license
Must be able to pass a background check
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in skilled nursing and/or outpatient settings preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
