Job Title: Cyber Cloud Engineer
Location: Hybrid – Wilmington, DE
Overview
The Cyber Monitoring Engineer will join the Cyber Operations team responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and investigating security alerts to identify and respond to potential incidents. This role works closely with cross-functional security and technical teams to ensure effective alert triage, escalation, and remediation across cloud and on-prem environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform real-time monitoring, analysis, and correlation of security logs and alerts
  • Investigate and respond to potential security incidents across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments
  • Collaborate with technical teams to identify, contain, and mitigate threats impacting cloud services
  • Follow established operational procedures to analyze, escalate, and assist in remediation of on-premises security events
  • Utilize multiple security tools and technologies (including SIEM platforms) to investigate alerts
  • Partner with SIEM Engineering and security teams to refine and enhance correlation rules and detection capabilities
  • Deliver clear, timely, and detailed incident documentation including findings, impact assessments, and follow-up actions
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Cyber Monitoring policies and procedures
  • Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and industry best practices
Qualifications
  • 3–6 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), Cybersecurity, Technical Helpdesk, or Network Administration role preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA) or security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, CEH, CCNA, or GIAC preferred
  • Strong understanding of cloud security concepts across Azure, AWS, and GCP
  • Experience investigating high-severity threats in cloud and/or on-prem environments highly desirable
  • Intermediate knowledge of endpoint and network security tools and concepts
  • Experience with SIEM platforms, event monitoring, and security reporting
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to apply sound technical, interpersonal, and organizational judgment when solving complex security issues
