Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Contracts Manager is responsible for negotiating and managing subcontracts and supply agreements related to utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, and other clean energy infrastructure projects. This role focuses on the management of contract documentation, coordination with project delivery teams, and support of subcontract and supplier relationships to ensure compliance, performance, and risk mitigation under the supervision of the Associate General Counsel. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in contract administration within the construction or infrastructure sectors and a practical understanding of project delivery.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*:

  • Manage the lifecycle of key project agreements, subcontracts, vendor and purchase agreements, NDAs, and amendments.
  • Assist in reviewing contract documents for consistency, completeness, and alignment with project execution plans.
  • Prepare redlines and markups of standard contractual documents including escalating all contract negotiations and deviations from standard terms to the Associate General Counsel for direction and approval.
  • Serve as a key liaison between project managers, procurement teams, legal, and finance to ensure that contract terms are properly communicated and implemented across project functions.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely execution of agreements and proper documentation throughout project execution.
  • Ensure that all executed documents are archived in accordance with internal policies.
Requirements:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Legal Studies, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of contract administration and negotiation experience within the renewable or commercial construction sectors; renewable energy project experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with contract law, common industry contract forms and understanding of key commercial terms.
  • Strong organizational, document management, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain coordination and subcontractor management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB CONDITIONS:

  • Remote
  • Occasional travel to Enfield, Connecticut for meetings or to project locations may be required.
  • Travel for project assignments may be required based on Company needs.
