Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Restaurant Cleaner to maintain a spotless, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff at The Boathouse located in South Hadley. The ideal candidate ensures the dining room, kitchen, and restrooms comply with all local health and safety regulations. This position earns $22 an hour with room to increase based on experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES A restaurant cleaner ensures the establishment meets strict hygiene and health code standards. Their daily duties include sweeping, mopping, sanitizing dining areas and kitchens, cleaning restrooms, and managing waste disposal. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals.

Dining Areas: Sanitize tables, chairs, booths, and high-touch surfaces between guests. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Kitchen & Prep Areas: Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, sinks, and kitchen equipment.

Assist with washing dishes and cookware as needed. Restrooms: Clean toilets, sinks, and mirrors. Restock necessary supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.

Waste Management: Empty trash bins, sort recycling, and properly dispose of waste. Deep Cleaning: Perform scheduled deep-cleaning tasks, such as cleaning vents, hoods, and hard-to-reach areas. Inventory: Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when reordering is needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Previous experience as a commercial cleaner or in a restaurant setting is preferred. Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Strong time-management skills to complete assigned checklists within shift hours WORK SCHEDULE This full-time position is designed to be completed outside of open restaurant hours (11PM to 9AM).
