Job description


The Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) provides technical support to ensure medical equipment remains safe, serviceable, and mission-ready through preventive maintenance tracking, equipment certification, and system documentation.
A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.
Estimated Starting Salary Range for BMET:
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
BMET Responsibilities Include:
Supports biomedical equipment readiness by coordinating calibration and maintenance of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Schedules and tracks pick-up/drop-off with hand receipt holders and TMDE service centers, forecasts calibration requirements in DMLSS or other approved systems, and maintains accurate equipment records. Communicates equipment status, resolves routine process issues, and supports technical reporting for equipment maintenance activities.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance records in DMLSS.
  • Track and update equipment certification dates in PMI-ATS.
  • Coordinate maintenance actions for medical and operational support equipment.
  • Assist with equipment inspections prior to shipment or redistribution.
  • Support discrepancy resolution between DMLSS and PMI-ATS records.
  • Provide technical input for equipment condition assessments.

BMET Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience maintaining medical equipment.
  • BMET training, certification, or equivalent.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field of study or equivalent years of experience.
