What we are looking for:


We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help design, build, and support modern technology solutions for an asset management firm. This role will work closely with Trading, Operations, Compliance, Data, and Technology teams to deliver scalable applications that support investment workflows and business-critical processes.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full application stack, with strong experience in C#/.NET, SQL, and Azure-based architecture. This person should be able to translate business requirements into clean, testable, and reliable software.


Your responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack applications used by Investment, Trading, Operations, and Compliance teams.
  • Partner directly with end users, business analysts, and project managers, to understand workflows and deliver practical technology solutions.
  • Build scalable backend services using C#, .NET, REST APIs, and cloud-native Azure services.
  • Work with Azure services to build modern solutions, including tools such as Azure Functions, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, and Key Vault.
  • Integrate internal and external systems, including order management systems, trading platforms, data warehouses, APIs, and vendor applications.
  • Support production applications, troubleshoot issues, and improve system reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, sprint planning, and release activities.
  • Help modernize legacy applications and contribute to cloud migration or platform modernization initiatives.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to team standards for development, testing, deployment, and support.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:


  • 5+ years of full stack engineering experience delivering cloud-ready applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET / .NET Core, SQL Server or Azure SQL, and Azure-based environments.
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns and development practices, including Entity Framework, Domain-Driven Design, and Test-Driven Development.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across application, database, API, and cloud layers.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred requirements


  • Experience in asset management or investment workflows, including portfolio management, trading, compliance, accounting, performance, or client reporting.
  • Experience with Azure Functions, serverless architecture, or other cloud-native patterns.
  • Experience with Python, Blazor, Razor components, or related Microsoft web technologies.
  • Experience with automated testing, including unit, integration, and regression testing.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools or building AI-enabled automations to improve productivity and solve business problems.
  • Exposure to quantitative optimization techniques such as mean-variance optimization, mixed integer programming, or genetic algorithms is an asset.

Additional Information:


  • Fiera Capital adheres to a hybrid working environment with 4 days in-office per week.
  • The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $145,000. This role is also be eligible for additional compensation, including an end of contract bonus and employee benefits. This salary range is for Ontario.
