Contract CT Technologist
Location: Davenport, IA
Term: 13-week assignment with potential for extension
Shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Compensation:

  • Taxable Wages: $1,160/week
  • Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,246/week
  • Total Gross Weekly Pay (Based on 36 hours): $2,406

Position Summary:

This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced CT Technologists seeking to apply their skills in a dynamic imaging environment while exploring a new location. The technologist will be responsible for conducting diagnostic CT imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images, and providing safe and effective patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Review radiology requisitions and physician orders to confirm appropriate imaging procedure
  • Collect and review prior relevant imaging for comparison and radiologist reference
  • Educate and prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and use of immobilization devices as needed
  • Determine and adjust exposure factors to obtain optimal diagnostic images
  • Operate imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area; ensure necessary supplies are stocked and available
  • Review images for quality assurance and report equipment issues as needed
  • Ensure proper use of radiation safety devices, such as lead aprons and shielding
  • Perform venous access and administer contrast media, monitoring for adverse reactions
  • Communicate urgent or stat results to appropriate medical personnel
  • Assist with orientation of new staff and training of radiology students as assigned
  • Stay current with advancements in the field through continued education and professional development

Required Qualifications:

  • ARRT certification
  • Active state license (required upon hire)
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Minimum 1 year of CT experience
