Redwire Space Components is seeking a Contract - Assembly Technician for our site in Marlborough, MA. Where our team has been actively accelerating humanity’s expansion into space for multiple decades. During that time, our innovative team has been designing and manufacturing mission-critical, high reliability optical sensors for satellites providing guidance, navigation, situational awareness, and control capabilities. Summary

Redwire Space Components, LLC has a current opportunity for an Assembly Technician, Level 4, located at our facility in Marlborough, MA for a period of up to 6 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion..
Responsibilities
  • Working under a microscope build mechanical / optical / electrical assemblies utilizing assembly drawings, procedures, and specifications
  • Take and record precision measurements using caliper, drop indicator or optical measurement scope
  • Solder components or leads per IPC J-STD-001
  • Mix and apply polymeric materials such as epoxies as required in assembly procedures
  • Maintain assembly build records and signoffs as required
Ideal Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 6 or more years’ of experience building precision optical / electrical / mechanical assemblies to the highest quality standards
  • Experience soldering electrical/electronic components and assemblies (previous IPC J-STD-001 certification a plus)
  • Experience working in a lab/clean room environment
Desired Skills
  • Previous experience working under a microscope with delicate materials
  • Experience with mixing polymeric materials by weight and/or volume
  • Comfortable using a computer to retrieve drawings and procedure from our document management system
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Pay Range
$29.00 - $37.00 per hour
