Location : Owings Mills MD
Duration : 12 Months contract with extensionÂ

This person is managing 2 IT project teams which are high profile.Â
This person needs to be really sharp and a self-starter.Â
Understanding the basic IT life cycle concepts will also be important. Not looking for Agile coaches. The interview process will be a phone and then in-person interview.

Summary: The main function of a Scrum Master is to facilitate in the development and execution plan to support the transformation to Agile methodology, including development of processes, templates, artifacts, training materials, and lessons-learned.

Job Responsibilities:
â Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress within the agreed reporting framework.
â Fulfill the role of the Scrum Master, leading product development teams in the delivery of business critical, and enterprise software development projects to our production systems.
âEnsure the Scrum Framework is implemented effectively and provides coaching and training at the team level to maximize its benefits.
â Provide support with risk management, release management, and facilitate release planning activities.
â Analyze and articulate complex subject matter via white papers and presentations, enabling the ease of comprehension by customers and all stakeholders.

Qualifications:
â Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or combination of education and relevant experience.
â 10+ years of experience working in an IT related field.
â Experience teaching others how to become Agile.
â Certification: Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
â Experience leading efforts to prepare life cycle documents, including Use Cases, Requirements System Design.

Looking for self-starter, good communicator, experienced with Rally. Must be able to demonstrate through examples their experience handling all aspects of agile process (from backlog refinement, through sprint planning, through managing team through a sprint and closing a sprint). Development release management background a plus. Not looking for someone who has simply been on an agile team - they need to have been the single Scrum Master accountable party for managing that team and their work.
