Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.

Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.

Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and managesย UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements and updates to improve reliability, security and performance.

(SA2c) Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Capabilities * Creates, and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS). * Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches. * Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.

* Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality. * Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support. * Apply patches and upgrades.

* Troubleshoot server issues.ย  * Administer customer accounts * Deploy monitoring tools. * Deploy applications and tools. * Assist with escalated customer tickets.

* Installation and cabling of equipment Required Qualifications * TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly * Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. * Bachelorโ€™s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. * Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelorโ€™s degree.

Required Technical Skills * Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent) * Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository * Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines) * Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus * Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi) Desired Technical Skills * Syslog/NxLog * Nagios or other similar monitoring applications * Scripting experience (Python/Perl) The Benefits Package * Wyetech believes in generously supporting employees as they prepare for retirement.
