Contracts Manager

The Opportunity:

As a contract manager, you use your sharp negotiation tactics and talent for organization to help manage critical defense missions and acquisition strategies. We need you to bring your advanced contract management expertise to our global defense team where you'll be a trusted advisor and a valuable team member who finds creative solutions to complex problems.

As a contract manager on our team, you will support all phases of the acquisition life cycle where your expertise in contracts management will serve as the catalyst to identify, manage, and mitigate risk. Your knowledge will be applied to strategic discussions for future contract opportunities and competitive proposals, analysis of solicitations and teaming agreements, negotiation, and contract management. This is an exceptional opportunity where you will become a true business partner with a direct line to the account leadership as decisions are made. In addition, you will work closely with your teammates on the defense technology contracts team with opportunities to mentor and guide junior staff.

What You'll Work On:

  • Perform a wide variety of contract administration functions in support of Air Force and other DoD clients, including proposal development, cost strategies, modifications, review and negotiation of terms and conditions, and contract compliance.
  • Review and analyze solicitations for potential risks and suggested proposal strategies, including compliance with requirements and the recommended pricing approach.
  • Provide advice and counsel on risk issues, proposal strategies, and customer relationship management.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts independently with U.S. government customers and subcontracts with large and small business contractors across the breadth of contract types.
  • Negotiate teaming and non-disclosure agreements, and organizational conflict of interest plans.

You Have:

  • Experience with contract pre-proposal efforts, RFP or RFQ support, proposal support and submission, and post-award contract administration
  • Experience working directly with industry or government procurement officials
  • Experience with different contract types, including Cost Plus, Fixed Price, Time and Materials, or Incentive Fee contracts
  • Experience reviewing terms and conditions and statements of work for areas of risk and risk mitigation, in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Experience negotiating contracts with industry partners, including non-disclosure and teaming agreements
  • Ability to interpret federal regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Ability to manage multiple critical internal and external deadlines
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience with contract management, or Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience with contract management

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
