Equinox is seeking a Senior Project Manager - SAGD who brings strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proven ability to successfully execute complex SAGD and Heavy Oil projects.
In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams through all phases of project development and execution, from early planning and FEED through detailed engineering and project delivery. You will serve as the key interface between clients and engineering teams, ensuring project objectives are achieved safely, efficiently, and in alignment with business and operational goals.

As a Senior Project Manager - SAGD, you will play a key leadership role in delivering successful EPCM projects while ensuring alignment with client objectives, project scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality expectations.
Project Leadership
  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams through the execution of SAGD and Heavy Oil projects. 
  • Coordinate engineering disciplines and design activities to ensure effective project execution and delivery. 
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and key deliverables throughout all phases of project development. 
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams while fostering collaboration and accountability. 
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and project teams. 
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and project leadership. 
  • Lead client meetings, design reviews, and project progress discussions to ensure alignment on project objectives and expectations. 
  • Support business growth initiatives through client satisfaction, repeat business, and new business opportunities. 
Project Development & Execution

You are an experienced project leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary EPCM environment. You bring:
  • Extensive experience managing SAGD and Heavy Oil projects within the oil and gas industry. 
  • Strong understanding of FEED, detailed engineering, and EPCM project execution. 
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering discipline functions and project delivery practices. 
  • Strong project planning, scheduling, and project controls experience. 
  • Experience managing the planning and execution of SAGD or CSS Central Processing Facilities. 
  • Proven ability to build strong client relationships and lead multidisciplinary teams. 
Preferred
  • Business development experience and a demonstrated ability to generate repeat business opportunities.  
  • Experience with steam boilers and OTSGs. 
  • Construction and field execution experience.
