Job description

Triangle Springs in Raleigh, NC, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Part-Time Internal Medicine Medical Director. This role involves providing clinical oversight and leadership for internal medicine services, ensuring high standards of patient care, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance. The Medical Director will contribute to a collaborative environment focused on making a meaningful impact on patient care.

  • 77-bed behavioral health hospital
  • Part of Lifepoint Behavioral Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network
  • Primarily supervisory and administrative in nature, with minimal or no direct patient rounding required

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical supervision and oversight for the advanced practice providers (APPs) performing inpatient rounding
  • Review and co-sign charts to ensure quality, accuracy, and appropriate follow-up of patient care
  • Conduct routine in-person supervision on-site at Triangle Springs
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and clinical best practices
  • Collaborate with psychiatric and clinical leadership to promote integrated, multidisciplinary patient care
  • Participate in periodic performance evaluations and case reviews as needed
