Description

Advanced Management Strategies Group (AMSG) is seeking a Program Manager to support a prospective effort with the Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Defense Nuclear Security (DNS). This role will provide direction, and oversight of DNS programs. This is a Contingent Hire position.

AMSG is a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), delivering high-quality program and performance management services across a broad federal portfolio. Our clients include the Department of Defense (DoD), (including Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Washington Headquarters Service (WHS) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Location: Hybrid - James Forrestal Building, located at 1000 Independence Avenue, S.W., Washington, D.C., Remote and must be able to attend occasional meetings in Germantown, Maryland.
 

Education: Possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, or a related field.

Experience: Possess a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in managing projects or programs of similar scope and complexity, including at least five (5) years of direct experience managing government contracts or programs. Experience in administrative or operational support service environments is highly desirable.


Clearance: An active Level L clearance is required.
 

Responsibilities include:

The Program Manager will lead an integrated administrative and operational team, ensuring the efficient execution of mission-critical support across the DNS Front Office and associated program areas. The Program Manager will direct the team and deliver the following:

  • Classified and unclassified correspondence and documentation, maintaining robust records management processes, and delivering comprehensive office support services.
  • Executive-level support, including senior leadership calendar management, coordination of complex domestic and international travel, and proactive resolution of scheduling conflicts.
  • Facilitate internal and external communications and deliver advanced administrative and technical support for document preparation, reporting, and presentations.
  • Oversee office technology, conference room operations, and meeting logistics to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Support classified environment requirements, including oversight of secure spaces and execution of escort procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve administrative data systems to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure integrated administrative and operational support that strengthens overall mission effectiveness for DNS.
  • Represent the company at industry events and contribute to internal initiatives and external thought leadership efforts.
