Job description

Director, Contingent Worker Office (CWO)

Fitch Group's Global Business Services team is currently seeking a Director, Contingent Worker Office based out of our New York or Chicago location. 

Reporting to the Head of Global Business Services, you will also work closely with the CHRO, CIO, CTO, CFO and multiple stakeholders to bring value to the firm. The Director of Contingent Worker Office (CWO) will drive strategic value in Workforce Management through effective management and oversight of the end-to-end lifecycle of non-employees globally. This includes, but not limited to, the Vendor Management System (Beeline) and Managed Service Providers if applicable, partnerships with senior business leaders and budget owners throughout Fitch, and optimization of our supplier pool. The supporting team's aligned efforts will contribute to achieving these goals, ensuring a comprehensive and effective approach to external workforce management.  The successful candidate will have professional skills and experience in Contingent Workforce Management, Project Management, VMS tools, Managed Service Providers (MSP), Negotiation, Strategic Sourcing, and Category Management, with a proven track record of process improvements.

We'll Count on You To:

Establish and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders aimed at identifying, understanding, and fulfilling their contingent staffing needs:

  • Provide oversight of end-to-end program to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement Program Strategy and Governance to manage Fitch's contingent workforce ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations while maintaining flexibility
  • Ownership of policies and procedures that govern contingent labor
  • Oversee Beeline as the system of record for contingent labor:
    • Ensure data integrity and compliance across all regions, drive system enhancements. Develop and implement best practices for system utilization and monitor accordingly.
  •  Leverage Beeline and HR data for strategic decision-making:
    • Analyze workforce trends and costs, identify opportunities for improvements, flag risks and solutions to mitigate, and generate executive reports on external workforce performance
  • Develop and execute a strategy for sustainable supplier partnerships:
    • Identify key suppliers for long-term relationships, create performance metrics and evaluation criteria, establish regular business reviews with strategic partners, foster innovation and collaboration with partners, and align partner capabilities with evolving business needs.  This may include a Managed Service Provider (MSP), if applicable.
  • Partner with HR, Compliance, and Legal as needed, to mitigate risks related to co-employment, contract disputes, etc.
  • Design and implement a preferred supplier program:
    • Define criteria for preferred supplier status, develop a tiered supplier structure based on performance and strategic value, and create incentives for preferred suppliers to drive quality and cost savings
  •   Optimize program benefit:
    • Consolidate spend across preferred suppliers, negotiate volume discounts and favorable terms, implement a scorecard system to track and improve performance

What You Need to Have:

  • 5 years of managing non-employee programs on a global basis, within a corporate environment and/or through a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
  • 5 years of Procurement and Sourcing related experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, or related field of study
  • Experience working with staffing suppliers, freelancers, and contract workers.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems, and vendor management platforms. 
  • Expertise in working tax rules (i.e.- IR35 in the UK)
  • Excellent communication and project management skills and experience in working closely with internal client business units and senior stakeholders.
  • Self-directed, able to work independently, as well as in a team-orientated and fast-paced environment

 

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience with VMS tools such as Agile One, Beeline, Magnit, or SAP Fieldglass
  • Experience in managing an MSP and/or self-managed program
  • Previous background in a regulated Financial Services firm

FOR NEW YORK and CHICAGO ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $180,000 and $220,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.  Base pay is one part of Fitch's total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
