About This Job
The main purpose of this role is to work with the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Investment Officer to develop informative, influential, differentiating investment management content for a range of strategic initiatives in alignment with the wealth brand. This job requires collaboration with largely internal investment subject matter experts to ensure high editorial standards and copy that reflect our client and investment philosophy, and that resonate with our target audiences in the high-net-worth and institutional wealth management space.
Essential Functions
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for investment content writing and take the lead to develop, write, and edit a variety of investment content pieces, with a constant eye toward accuracy, quality, brand and consistency, delivering content that promotes the Commerce Trust wealth management brand with professional authority
  • Collaborate with and build strong working relationships with subject matter experts, including investment managers and analysts and portfolio managers
  • Take ownership of the investment content calendar, attend internal investment team meetings to inform recommendations for new content ideas for the calendar which must be presented to leadership, aligned with the company's current perspective on the economy and markets
  • Keep abreast of current developments in delivering financial content and use those insights to inform ideas
  • Drive engagement with target audience by presenting thought leadership in a compelling, authoritative, high impact way on a variety of topics ranging from the flagship market and economic outlooks, to quarterly chart driven narratives, to monthly topic-specific written commentaries, must execute with a narrative writing style
  • Apply research, writing and editing skills to the entire editorial process to conceive, research, interview and extract insights from subject matter experts, develop and create thought leadership pieces in multiple formats and across a variety of media, including video and podcast content, investment reports, newsletter and website articles, social media posts, promotional headlines and text, you will be your own project manager
  • Partner with internal and external marketing and media production colleagues to produce the content in go-to-market form on time and error free, with appropriate sources
  • Guide the timely review of content through the Legal and Compliance review process with thoughtfully prepared submissions that align with the overall marketing content calendar, able to appropriately reconcile and address Legal and Compliance feedback with the CIO and CMO for approval
  • Contribute to the content strategy and planning process based on the insights brought from collaborating with subject matter expert colleagues and through content development responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
