Job description

COMSOL, Inc. is seeking a full-time content writer to join our Marketing department on site in Burlington, MA.
Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex multiphysics simulation topics into clear and compelling marketing content that supports product understanding, customer adoption, and business growth.
This is a marketing role first and a writing role second. Success in this role is evaluated based on clarity and relevance of the content produced, as well as its ability to support COMSOL's broader marketing initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a variety of other teams to ensure messaging alignment, such as Sales, Communications, Creative, Events, and Product Development.
Responsibilities
  • Create content for digital and print marketing campaigns, including landing pages, blog posts, articles, social copy, and various campaign assets
  • Convey advanced science and engineering topics into successful, industry relevant, and compelling content
  • Research and develop a working understanding of COMSOL's target audiences, industries, and use cases to create content that is aligned with our marketing objectives
  • Interview customers and colleagues to produce stories that support COMSOL's positioning
  • Apply content best practices to increase discoverability and engagement
  • Iterate on content based on performance data, feedback, and evolving business priorities
  • Support the Communications team with content for press releases and third-party publications
  • As you grow, you may also:
    • Write scripts for video projects
    • Assist in publishing blog and social media posts
    • Contribute to content planning by identifying gaps, opportunities, and themes based on audience needs and marketing priorities

Minimum Qualifications
  • Exceptional writing skills and understanding of the English language, grammar, syntax, and information organization
  • Passion for engaging your audience, regardless of subject matter
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Openness to feedback and revising content based on constructive input and marketing goals
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Current eligibility to work in the U.S. is required. No sponsorship for employment-based visas will be offered for this position. F-1 visa holders not accepted.

Helpful Qualifications
  • Strong ability to grasp, analyze, and communicate technical subject matter
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience creating B2B content with a defined audience and marketing objective
  • Experience with writing text that appears within a digital interface, such as on a website
  • Knowledge of best practices in SEO, digital marketing, and social media
  • Proficiency in using JIRA and Confluence
