Job Description ProspectBlue has partnered with a growing, innovative organization in Williamsburg, VA to identify a Technical Writer for their team. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth company focused on developing digital training content and mobile learning tools that support workforce development across a variety of industries. The team is looking for a Technical Writer who enjoys writing, learning technical subject matter, collaborating cross-functionally, and wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment.

The Technical Writer plays a central role in the creation of digital training materials and works closely with photographers, videographers, graphic artists, project managers, and app engineers to bring content to life. This individual will be responsible for outlining, writing, and editing long-form technical content, partnering with clients at job sites across the U.S., and helping shape supporting media content including photos and videos. Location: Williamsburg, VA Schedule: Hybrid after training period, with the opportunity to work from home 2 days per week upon manager approval Key Responsibilities: Outline, organize, write, and edit long-form technical content for digital training materials and eBooks Research technical client materials and perform supplemental research as needed Build strong relationships with client instructors, students, and subject matter experts Travel to client sites alongside the media team to help capture relevant content for training materials Assist in shaping photo, video, and written content to support the final digital product Provide editorial input and feedback on written and video content Manage writing workflows and stay on schedule across multiple projects Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a writing-intensive discipline such as Technical Writing, Instructional Design, English, Journalism, or a STEM-related field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Statistics Other degree backgrounds will be considered if there is clear applicability to the role Strong ability to absorb, understand, and communicate technical information clearly and effectively Self-starter mentality with the ability to work proactively, adapt to shifting priorities, and problem-solve as needed Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines and workflow Team-oriented mindset with an appreciation for a collaborative culture Genuine interest in helping improve the lives of workers through impactful training tools Preferred Experience: Exposure to Adobe Creative Suite, graphic design, or layout software is a plus Familiarity with video production and/or photography is a plus Additional Details: Approximately 25% travel to client locations across the United States Hybrid flexibility available after the initial training period and with manager approval
